read this if you are trying to be productive

I am the king of procrastinating. It never fails that when I have something important to do that my room becomes that much cleaner, the dishes are done that much faster, and my bookshelf is reorganized that much more efficiently (this time by color coordination. you should try it. very aesthetically pleasing. maybe not as efficient though). Anyway, I find it fitting as we near the long awaited holiday season to perpetuate this horrible pathological downward spiral because I know that many of you are probably also finding yourself in a procrastinating mood as finals approach. So to continue this masochistic ritual, I’m going to share with you sites I’ve been on that have been the perfect distraction from the task at hand. I apologize for tearing you away from your studies, paper or whatever else it is that you should be doing. But you know you’d be stalking someone else on facebook anyway… Before I end, I must say however, that I discovered I’ve been so good at procrastinating that I find myself putting it off. Which ends up with me actually doing work. Very meta. Ok, bye.

Sites that you should look at later.

1. “Why Men and Women Can’t be Friends”

2. “50 Unexplainable Black and White Photos”

3. “Characters we Hate: Facebook Statuses”

4. i’ve been debating on getting these for my little sister for xmas… i think she’ll like them.

5. “Awesome people hanging out”

6. my wish list.

7. Chess with Friends. Play me! Username: dandandanchang

Ok, time to get back to work. Right after I have a bowl of cereal.

What are some of your favorite procrastinating past times?

Honestly right now? It’s 4 in the morning, and I have a half page left to write for my final paper, and get a notification on my phone and I say “Oh sweet a Lady Danville blog this will only take a min to read” Nope, now I am forced to continue to waste time with all of the interesting things you posted…

But I do notice how much cleaner all of my things are when I have important things to get done…

Ha, this is great, now I have something else I can do! My favorite past time… Let’s go on a date even though I have three papers to write!

  3. Heck yes, color-coordinated bookshelves! http://i.imgur.com/iunky.jpg

Pinterest is the best for procrastinating! I’ve lost hours at a time just looking through there for interesting things, omg.

My favorite way to procrastinate is by going on stumbleupon.com! I’ve spent hours just stumbling onto really neat things and when I know it’s time for me to get off the computer and actually DO my work I always tell myself “Alright, I’ll Stumble 10 more times and then get off.”
And once I get to that 10, I’ll say, “Alright, 5 more stumbles.”

As you can see it’s very difficult getting me to stop procrastinating once I get started lol.
